The project involved the introduction of an upgraded catalyst and polymerisation reactor system for the Geelong polypropylene plant to allow for production of high density polypropylene and the increase in plant capacity undertaken under a separate contract. The project also involved installation of a new reactor module as well as upgrading of existing catalyst and dosing systems. The project also included integration of the controls with the plant DCS system. Construction was undertaken within the operating facility requiring stringent safety and permitting arrangements.
