Uhde Shedden has been intensively involved in study, feasibility and FEED assignments for a number of coal gasification projects in Australia, China and, together with GmbH, in Europe and the USA. Additionally, we have specific experience in the removal, compression and pipeline transport of CO2 for geosequestration. Shedden Uhde has been established as a second technology centre for Uhde Group coal gasification projects.
Uhde GmbH is an acknowledged world leader in the development and commercial application of gasification technology, having designed and built some 100 plants, based on 8 different technologies, over the past 65 years. Uhde has designed and constructed the largest IGCC worldwide, the 318 MWel plant for Ecogas at Puertollano, Spain, and is currently undertaking basic engineering of the proposed Nuon Magnum IGCC plant in the Netherlands.
