Ethanolamine Plant for Shedden Uhde Thailand

Thai Ethanolamine Limited (TEA), a subsidiary of PTTChem, has awarded Shedden Uhde Thailand (SUTL) the engineering phase of a new 50,000 MTA Ethanolamines Plant to be built in Map Ta Phut, Thailand based on License provided by Huntsman Petrochemical Corporation. Following final environmental approval, TEA will award SUTL the procurement and construction management portion of the project. SUTL won this EPCM contract against strong competition from Thailand based International companies.
SUTL, through the skills and expertise of the Shedden Uhde Technology Services Division, has undertaken a Value Creation review which has identified areas of significant capital savings for the project. Additionally SUTL will focus on applying Owning Time initiatives to shorten the overall schedule.
