Debot 2 Handover

On Thursday 4 December 2008, Uhde Shedden (Thailand) Ltd. reached a significant milestone on their PTT Chemical Plant 2 Debottlenecking Project. On this day a celebration was held in the site office where USTL Project Manager Khun Thanu Poothong handed over the final system package to PTTCH Project Manager Khun Prateep Wattansomvong thus bringing the works on the plant shutdown to a successful conclusion.

The Plant 2 Debottlenecking scope included the detailed engineering lead by Khun Anucha Woramaris, procurement lead by Khun Supaporn Pincharoensuk, and the construction management managed by Khun Surapong Sumpradist.

The project has already achieved 500,000 manhours without LTI, has been completed under budget and delivered on time which is a credit to each and every Uhde Shedden person who worked on this project.

Uhde Shedden was awarded the EPCM contract for the PTTCH Ethylene Plant 2 Debottlenecking in January 2007, the signing of this contract followed on from the already completed Plant 1 Debottlenecking project. These Debottlenecking projects along with USTL’s other PTT work on the door step of our Mapthaphut office is evidence on how repeat work can be gained by working closely with our clients and achieving successful outcomes for both parties.
