Uhde Shedden Thailand has been awarded the first phase of a project to build a "green fields" Ethanol plant in Thailand for Thai Oil Public Company Limited (TOP).
This project will be a joint project between SUTL and SUAPL. SUAPL will be largely responsible for the front-end design which represents the major part of Phase I of the project with support from SUTL for in country activities. SUTL will be responsible for the EPCM Phase II of the project (subject to project approval by TOP) with support from SUAPL.
The project has many firsts: the first true joint co-operation between SUTL and SUAPL; the first Ethanol plant project for the Company and our first major project for Thai Oil. A key element to our success was our commitment to deliver value to TOP. We were able to win the work at a premium price over our competitors because of this commitment. Our goal will be to ‘Create and Realise Value’ through the skills and talents of our people, processes and systems and of real importance to TOP - schedule delivery where we will strive to use ‘Owning Time’ principles to reduce overall project delivery time.
