Shedden Uhde completed detail engineering covering all disciplines for the complete furnace design and engineering.
The basic design package was prepared by Exxon-BCIT. Shedden Uhde work included mechanical and structural design of the radiant section, burner floors and refractory. It included all structural engineering for the installation, plus piping design and critical pipe stressing analyses. Utilities, instrumentation and interface designs were also undertaken by Shedden Uhde. The furnace radiant section was designed by Birwelco.
Shedden Uhde provided all fabrication and construction drawings for the furnace and associated utilities and tie-ins to an adjacent furnace and utilities.
